Professional Sugaring removes hair in the anagen stage. During the anagen stage, the root of the hair attached to the blood supply and is larger than the shaft. Removal at this time, creates microscopic scar tissue on the follicle wall. This scar tissue builds with each treatment and closes the follicle. So every hair that grows back is smaller and finer until eventually the follicle collapses. Hair cannot be extracted in the anagen stage in waxing, as the hair is too short to be picked up by the wax.
